Abstract
An analysis model, with its application procedure, was developed by the LEMaC, to allows the establish, by means of the use of a test analogous to the Sand Patch Test, a correction coefficient for the dosage of an asphaltic tack coat to be applied on a milled surface, in the rehabilitation operations of asphalt pavements with asphalt reinforcement layers. This model is based on results obtained by shear tests on specimens molded for such purposes, where the solicitation is applied in a static way, given the requirements existing in the road departments that have jurisdiction over this type of work. But in a road, the failure in that sense is generated mostly not by a maximum requesting load, instead by fatigue damage before repeated cycles of load of less intensity, which can be reproduced in the laboratory by means of tests with dynamics loads. The present work it´s about this thematic, analyzing particularities for the application of the model developed, based on the existing correspondence between both test systems.
